WHY: To get acquainted with our local representatives

An important part of our mission is to empower people with disabilities and their families. That means we want to ensure each person we serve understands they are a valued member of society, a fact that is overlooked far too often in the lives of those with a diagnosis.

We wanted to host this luncheon to help our members better understand what people who hold public offices do, as well as create an opportunity for our local leaders to connect with our members and understand our needs better so they can make informed decisions on behalf of the disability community.
